Antonio Grajeda
"I was always drawn to the sound of the piano, and guitar ... anything that made noise, really. I was constantly making up songs; singing; beating on pots and pans, making finger guitars out of rubber bands ..." Antonio Grajeda began teaching and sharing his passion for music in 2011. Antonio offers classes in Piano, Drum set, Voice, Guitar, Theory and Basic Musicianship. "I use traditional methods but I also love finding new fun, creative, and exciting ways to learn about music."

Nina Leilani Deering
Nina came from a long line of musicians, and was a fantastically talented and competent pianist and vocalist. Nina graduated from San Diego State University in Piano Performance. Nina was a musical director for the last 5 years where she took a humble and small music program into a massive musical group of both singers for various choirs as well as instrumentalists to assist. Nina frequently performed locally in San Diego, and was in the process of recording multiple albums. She has been featured on various local radio shows as a vocalists as well as on the piano. She taught piano and voice for 12 years. Nina was a fantastic blend of being both a tremendous musician, and a dynamic and inspiring teacher.

Terry Battillo
Terry goes by the nickname “T. Rex”, she began playing the piano at the early age of five. She moved from the East Coast in 2018 and has been an instructor here at AGMC ever since. Terry was the vice president of the Piano Teachers Foundation for 4 years, a member of the S.P.T.F for 40 years, and a member of the Performers Club for 15 years. Terry is still currently a member of the Guild organization and has been for the past 30 years. Truly our AGMC Gem.

Nathan Hubbard
Nathan Hubbard is a drummer, composer, bandleader and educator, writing music for a wide range of ensembles and situations. Hubbard has presented his music across North America and bits of the European Union. As a teacher, Hubbard has taught private lessons, worked as a percussion coach for various high schools and presented masterclasses and clinics at the college level. Hubbard brings a wide knowledge of music research and performance options in his teaching, and bases his curriculum around the needs and interest of the student.
The 2014 San Diego Music Award for "Best Jazz Album” was awarded to his five volume Encinitas and Everything After release. His large ensemble double disc Furiously Dreaming won the 2017 San Diego Music Award for "Best Jazz Album" and was listed as "Best Local Jazz release 2016" by NBC San Diego. His release Lattice Trust was awarded "Album of the Year 2017" by Avant Music News. Hubbard was listed by San Diego Citybeat 2018 as one of ten best drummers in San Diego. DRUMS / PERCUSSION |
Clara Ledesma
Clara Ledesma also known as her stage name Clarasoul has over 23 years of experience with musical performances in vocal and piano acts. Ledesma began her music career in her church's youth choir where she explored her vocal ranges. Native to the San Diego and Tijuana area she spent much of her formal training and education at the Conservatorium of Baja California in 2004 where she began to experiment and shape her distinct sound. Traveling back and forth the border towns and immersing herself in the cultural jazz and soul sounds allowed her to adopt her distinct vocal style in both Spanish and English. Clarasoul plays a variety of genres but enjoys producing jazz, blues, and soul sounds. Her musical influences pertain to music as well as sounds embodying traditional Mexican gypsy jazz, latin jazz, bossa nova, classical music, and rock pop. Ledesma, has performed several live shows sharing the stage with notable artists

Rodnalyn Sese
Rodnalyn Sese is currently at SDSU studying Music Education. She is primarily a singer but she also plays the guitar, piano, ukulele and bass. She is still currently expanding her knowledge of more instruments as well as taking up conducting lessons in the interest to be a conductor one day. As a performer, she has been in choir almost all her life from Middle School to College and has been in rock and worship bands as a guitarist, bassist, and drummer. She has always been interested in teaching as her passion is to spark interest in students to generate appreciation in music.

Tania Juarez

Tania Juarez was born in San Diego 1987 her parents are of Mexican descent. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She has played music on and off starting from the age of 9 when she had her first piano lesson. She has composed songs and performed locally around her city. In the classroom she carefully crafts her lessons to each students’ needs, passing on her love of music to her students in an inspiring and engaging manner. With seven years in teaching experience in private piano lessons ranging from all ages and wide range of students, especially at the beginner level. She brings a unique flare that is both motivating and successful at helping her students achieve their goals. Whether it be learning musical theory or performing pop, folk or classical, Tania prepares her students with healthy technique and skills for the stage. She believes that music in itself is healing and a great expression of humanity. She sees music as a universal language of mankind that has the power to inspire the world. PIANO |

My name is Nathalie Galvez. I recently graduated from SDSU in May of this year with my Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. I am also currently working on my teaching credential. I specialized in violin, but can also sing and play piano.
